Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming economies and reshaping how governments deliver services, allocate resources, and support sustainable growth. The UAE, as the home of an AI dedicated university and ministry, launched the AI for Development Initiative, a USD 1 billion programme to accelerate digital and economic development across Africa through AI.
Led by Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX), the export financing arm of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), the initiative provides competitive financing solutions to deploy advanced AI technologies across priority sectors, strengthening digital infrastructure, modernising public services, and expanding opportunities for UAE exporters worldwide.
